Your Privacy Is Important
We will always request signed consent from the individual treated before releasing any information. No information will be shared until consent is obtained with the exception of situations in which we are legally mandated to disclose an individual's information. These may include (a) any person who appears likely to seriously injure themselves or another person, and (b) concern for or evidence of abuse, neglect, or endangerment of a child, dependent adult, or an elderly individual. A complete list of privacy policies will be provided to clients for review prior to treatment. Please feel free to discuss any questions you may have with us.
Payment
Pasadena Psychiatry is out of network for all insurance providers. Providing comprehensive psychiatric care demands a personalized, tailor-made approach. As such, we do not follow the one-size-fits-all treatment guidelines dictated by insurance companies as they may compromise the customized care that our clients deserve. We can provide a super-bill that you can submit your own claim to insurance. Payment is expected either before or at the beginning of each visit and can be made via check, credit card or cash. Rates for services are comparable to other private practice psychiatrists in the Los Angeles area. If you have any questions about this issue, please feel free to discuss them with us.
Cancellations
We strive to have appointments start and end as scheduled. Given that late appointments can be disruptive to other clients, we will not be able to extend the time of your appointment for late arrivals. Cancellations must be made at least two business days prior to the appointment. Cancellations made less than two business days ahead of time, or no shows, will be charged full fee.
Please be aware that e-mail is not confidential, and for this reason, we request that communication regarding any clinical matters be in person, secure EMR messaging, or via phone call.
Emergencies
If you are concerned that you or your family member may be at risk of serious self harm, harm to others, or experiencing a dangerous/significant medication side effect, immediately call 911. After you have notified emergency personnel and a safety response has been initiated, then inform our office and your primary health care provider.
Addiction
Our office does not provide acute detoxification/withdrawal services or buprenorphine induction/treatment. In addition, we do not prescribe stimulant medications or benzodiazepines. Dr. Domb is board-certified in addiction psychiatry and is well-versed in treatment options and protocols for addiction management.
Office Policies
Please be advised a detailed and complete list of policies will be provided for your review and signature prior to your first appointment.
